In the morning
At prison

The iron door groaned open, and the smell of damp concrete clung to the air. Jhon sat on the narrow bench inside his cell, his back pressed lazily against the wall, one leg stretched out as if this place were no different from a waiting room. He didn't bother to look up when the footsteps approached only when Kim Min Kyu stepped into the dim light did he lift his head, a faint, mocking curve tugging at his lips.

"Well, well," Jhon drawled, his voice slow and amused. "Look who finally decided to visit. I thought you forgot me."

Min Kyu didn't respond. He stood still, his arms folded across his chest, eyes fixed on the man in front of him. His silence weighed heavier than any words could. For a moment, the smirk on Jhon's face wavered, but only slightly.

Min Kyu let out a quiet breath, his voice calm but edged with steel.

"Jhon... I know why you both want me dead. I know who's behind it all ....
his son, who he truly is. He deeply inhaled

John was still sitting like that

From that day, his voice kept echoing in my head. I told myself it couldn't be. I wanted to believe I was wrong. But the more I thought, the more I searched, the more the pieces fell into place."

He stepped closer, his shadow spilling across the floor until it touched Jhon's shoes. His gaze didn't falter.

"I dug into your history," he said, his voice lowering, each word deliberate. "Every thread you tried to cut away. And in the end, the truth revealed itself. Not about you... but about him the traitor ..The one you've been protecting all along."

The silence was heavy, broken only by the faint hum of prison lights. Jhon's smirk returned, sharper than before.

"So," he murmured, tilting his head, eyes glinting with mockery, "you finally figured it out. Took you long enough."

Min Kyu's jaw tightened. For a moment, he looked down, his breath trembling. A single tear escaped, though his voice remained steady.

"I'm not sorry for what I did," he said quietly. "That day... I pulled the trigger because I had no choice. Because if I hadn't, an innocent life would have been lost. I did it out of fear-but also to protect. And yet..." His eyes lifted to Jhon's, heavy with sorrow. "I am sorry-for what you and he suffered because of that choice."

He wiped the tear away   and something inside him hardened.
The softness in his eyes vanished.
He straightened, his tone hardening again, regaining its edge his tone turning to ice.

But
then he suddenly got flashbacks of Ji-won.”

‘You should’ve taken revenge on me instead.
You dug your own grave the moment you thought of putting the person I love in danger
’

He let out a long, shaky sigh.

"I can’t even watch her cry
and that day, I saw blood pouring from her stomach. If I had found you then, you would’ve been dead by my hands, with full intention and no regret.”

John swallowed his saliva, a hint of fear flickering in his eyes.”

He stepped closer.“you should thank chawoon  also Ji won that she’s healthy again
so that's why you both are alive . But I can’t forget that blood. I can’t forget the way he shot her
held a gun to her head
.”

His jaw clenched.“For that alone, both of you deserved to be in prison for life . And I came here only to tell you one thing he’ll be joining you soon.”

Turning away, Min Kyu walked toward the door.

"Yoooou BASTARED!!"roared, lunging forward, his fingers clawing through the bars. His shout cracked against the cold stone walls, but it could not reach Min Kyu, who kept walking without looking back.

At college

Ayesha and Ameena stood in front of the notice board, their eyes scanning the new announcement.

"There will be a function about social awareness, and the winners will get prizes," Ayesha read aloud, her eyes lighting up.

"Woahhh! I think we should participate in this!" she said excitedly, turning to Ameena.

Ameena, however, looked less enthusiastic. "Hmm... but we don't know anything about how this will work. What will we even do?" she asked, her doubt evident.

Ayesha waved her concern away with a confident smile. "Yaar, don't worry! I'm here. We can do this. Honestly, I get nervous on stage too, but I don't want to miss this opportunity. Please!"

She clasped her hands together and gave Ameena her best puppy-dog face, trying to convince her.

Ameena sighed, unable to resist her friend's determination. "Ok, fine..." she said reluctantly, shaking her head with a small smile.

Ayesha clapped her hands with excitement. "Yay! We'll do great, I KNOW!" her face lit up as she turned around , she noticed Chawoon standing behind her.

"Ahemm... Hi!" Chawoon greeted, a casual smile on his face. "So, what are you two doing here?"

Ameena turned around as soon as she hear his voice "Hii...ahh...We were deciding to participate in this function," Ameena explained, her voice a little hesitant.

"That's nice!" Chawoon said, his interest piqued. "So, what topic will you choose?"

Ayesha quickly replied, "I haven't decided yet, but I'll let you know later." She smiled at him, hoping he wouldn't press further.

Chawoon smiled back. "Sure, I'm looking forward to hearing about it."

Then , Ayesha's brows knitted slightly as she asked, "By the way... is Ji Won's grandma alright now? Ji Won hasn't come back yet, and her phone is still silent."

For a brief moment, Chawoon's expression faltered. "Ahm... yes," he answered quickly, then added, "but... she just needs a little more time with her grandma."

Ayesha's face softened into a smile. "Alhamdulillah," she said with relief, before tilting her head curiously. "But... how are you even in contact with her? I mean- she didn't even see our message "

Ameena added "yeah sometimes I feel like she is ignoring us "

Chawoon started Waving the hand side to side "no it's not like that she forget her phone at home and I m in contact with her mom so... "

Ayesha said "oh...I hope she come back soon"

Chawoon gave her a fake smile. "Yeah..Soon she will be back....." he said, his voice a little too calm.

"Sorry, Ayesha".Kim Chawoon thought to himself, guilt swirling in his mind as he kept the truth hidden.

Time skip
At canteen.

Ameena and Ayesha sat down at a table, talking about their plan for the upcoming function.

"What topic have you decided on?" Ameena asked, curious.

Ayesha smiled, her excitement growing. "Islam Is Perfect, Muslims Are Human".

Ameena's eyes widened. "Woah, that's a brilliant idea!"

"Really? Thank you!" Ayesha replied, beaming with pride.

As they spoke, they noticed Ahmed sitting across the room. Ayesha leaned in toward Ameena.

"I'm thinking of adding Ahmed to our team," Ayesha said, her voice low.
Ayesha added "He's good at Korean and Hindi, and also... he's a Muslim."

Ameena's face twisted with distaste. "What?! Are you serious? I don't want to be anywhere near him! There are plenty of other people we could ask."

Ayesha, however, remained determined. "Ahh, please! He's perfect for this. He can help us a lot."

"nope," Ameena said reluctantly

Ayesha replied "But..a....okay then , bring someone else who has the same qualities as Ahmed."

Ameena looked around, scanning the people. "Hmm, he !no ...ah..she ..noo... ..There's no one." but...

Ayesha didn't make her complete and groaned. "See? I told you! And No but..wut.....I said he'll be in our team, and that's final," Ayesha interrupted, her tone firm.

Ameena gave up, knowing there was no changing Ayesha's mind. "Okay, okay, fine. But first, you ask him."

Ayesha grinned. "Yes, come with me," she said, grabbing Ameena's hand and pulling her toward Ahmed.

As they reached his table, Ayesha greeted him with a friendly smile.

"As-salamu alaykum," Ayesha said cheerfully.

"Wa alaykumu as-salam," Ahmed replied with a small smile.

Ayesha winked at Ameena, signaling her to speak up.

Ameena hesitated but then cleared her throat. "Uh... we want you in our team for the social awareness function."

Ahmed looked confused. "What? Why me?"

Ayesha jumped in quickly. "We decided to talk about how "Islam Is Perfect, Muslims Are Human", and since you know Korean and Urdu, that'll help us a lot."

Ameena added, "Please, don't say no..."

Ahmed looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding. "Okay, I'm in." He smiled softly.

Ayesha and Ameena both let out a relieved sigh.

"JazakAllahu Khayran!" Ayesha said, her face lighting up.

Wa iyyāk Ahmed replied and looked at ameena

"Thank you,” Ameena said, forcing a tight smile.

As they left the canteen, Ayesha couldn't hide her satisfaction.

"Woah! Finally, she said thank you," Ahmed thought to himself, smirking as he watched them walk away.

After sometimes

Ameena was deeply absorbed in her work at the library, buried in books and notes. Meanwhile, Ayesha stepped outside to take a call. As she wrapped up her conversation, she turned to head back inside when suddenly, Chawoon appeared out of nowhere.

Startled, Ayesha lost her balance, stumbling slightly.

"Ouch!" she gasped, feeling the sudden sharp pain in her ankle.

Chawoon immediately rushed forward, but he froze, unsure of what to do.

"Wait, are you fine?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. He reached out as if to help, but then stopped himself, unsure.

Ayesha nodded, though she was clearly in pain. "I'm fine..."

Chawoon, still anxious, looked around. "No, wait, I should..." he started, then called out to a girl nearby to help her. "Can you help her sit on the bench?" The girl nodded

Ayesha, trying to maintain her composure, sat down.

"I'm sorry," Chawoon said softly. "I think it's really hurt. Let me bring the first aid box."

Without waiting for a response, he dashed off.

Ayesha, alone with her thoughts, couldn't help but wonder,
"Why is he so good to me? This will make it so hard for me to stop feeling for you.."!

Moments later, Chawoon returned, out of breath, with the first aid kit in his hands.

"Should I... put this on?" Chawoon asked, uncertain as he reached for the cream.

Ayesha, trying to steady herself, raised a hand. "Wait..."

"I won't touch you," Chawoon assured, carefully applying the cream with a cotton ball.

(Imagine this as the cream was applied gently to her sprained ankle and she was admiring him )

Meanwhile, a group of girls who had been watching from a distance whispered to each other, jealousy evident in their voices.

"I think they're dating..."

"See how much Chawoon cares for her. She's so lucky..."

"She's not even that pretty... Why would he date her?" Hyejin muttered, irritated.

Chawoon, oblivious to the whispers, asked, "Are you feeling better now?"

Ayesha nodded, a soft smile on her face.

"Let me take you to the doctor," he insisted.

"No, no, I'm fine," Ayesha protested, though her voice was weak.

Ameena came out to find Ayesha sitting with Chawoon, and she immediately rushed over.

"What happened?" Ameena asked, concerned.

"Nothing. I just got a little sprained," Ayesha said, trying to downplay it.

Ameena raised an eyebrow. "You're so clumsy. Are you okay now?"

"Yes, I'm fine," Ayesha assured her.

Chawoon, however, disagreed. "No, she's not ready to go to the doctor. Please say something to her, Ameena."

Ameena rolled her eyes. "Why not? Chawoon, don't listen to her. Just take her to the doctor."

Ayesha gave a small shrug, smiling weakly. "Okay... if you both want, I'll go to the health center in the college."

Ameena's face lit up. "Good girl! Let's go, then."!

Chawoon's eyes darkened with concern as he stepped closer. "No. You're not going to the college health center. I'm the one who got you hurt... I need to make sure you're completely fine. You'll go with me to the hospital, just to be safe."

Ayesha blinked, startled, her lips parting. "Huh?! It's not your fault... and it's just a little sprain!"

She glanced at Ameena, who was looking at Chawoon. His gaze met hers, silently telling her she had no choice but to agree.

Ameena sighed and nodded. "Okay... let's go with him, Ayesha. It's better this way."

Chawoon's expression softened into a small dimple smile, but inside, he thought, I'm doing this because I don't want to see you in pain. Even if it's a small sprain, I want to make sure you're completely safe. I can't take chances with you.

"Good. Bring Ayesha to my car-I'm taking out of the park," he said firmly.

Ayesha's mouth hung open as she followed, thinking to herself, Why he is behaving so unusual?

At the Hospital

When they arrived, the doctor quickly examined Ayesha's sprained ankle.

"She's fine. Just a little sprain, but nothing serious. Here, give her this medicine," the doctor explained.

Ayesha, still smiling, waved her hand. "Listen, I'm fine, okay?"

Ameena laughed. "Oh, girl..."

Chawoon, looking relieved, smiled brightly. "Okay,..im happy."

Just then, Chawoon's phone rang, and he answered it immediately.

"Yes, bro..."

"Ji Won is not fine. She's in ICU. Please come fast," came the trembling voice on the other end.

"What? I'm coming!" Chawoon said, his voice tense with urgency.

Ameena looked at him, confused. "What happened?"

"It's an emergency. I need to go now," Chawoon said quickly. "But let me drop you off first."

"No problem, we can wait," Ayesha said, sensing the urgency in his voice.

Chawoon nodded, clearly in a rush. He helped them into the car and drove them to the hospital.

He stopped the car in front of the hospital building and said, "Please wait here. I'll be back soon."

Ameena turned to Ayesha, her face full of concern. "Is everything okay with him?"

Ayesha nodded with concern on her face and whispered to her self"Allah i hope everything is fine"

Ameena couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. "We should check... I think something's wrong."

Ayesha hesitated but agreed. “Okay
let’s go.” The cream had eased her sprain, so it wasn’t too bad.

Without another word, the two of them walked into the hospital, ready to find out what had happened ?

We should really go? Ayesha asked

"Yes , let's go," Ameeena said, leading the way.

As they entered, they saw Chawoon with Ji Won, who clung to him tightly.

While Kim Min Kyu's lips curved faintly-relieved to see Ji Won smiling again with Chawoon. But the sight twisted something deep inside his chest. Before anyone could notice, he quietly turned away, missing the presence of Ayesha and Ameena behind him.

"We got you! It was all just a prank," Ji Won laughed, her voice light but sharp in the quiet room.

Ayesha stood frozen, her chest tightening painfully at the sight. Ameena glanced at her, sadness flickering in her eyes.

"You know I get so worried because of you," Chawoon scolded softly, his tone carrying both relief and frustration.

"I'm sorry," Ji Won murmured. "I was discharged earlier, but I thought of this idea to cheer up."

The words barely reached Ayesha. The ache in her heart was too loud. She turned to leave, but Ji Won's eyes followed and narrowed.

"Wa...Wait
” Ji Won confused. “Ayesha? Ameena?....You both are here?”
Her gaze dropped to the packet in Ayesha’s hand, misunderstanding settling in.

Chawoon turned, startled to see Ayesha standing there with Ameena. He hesitated, then answered carefully, "Ayesha... she's here with me. And-"

Before he could finish, Ji Won's voice cut through the air."So
you were out together?” she asked quietly, hurt seeping into every word. “While I was in the hospital?”

She let out a shaky breath. “You both didn’t even come to see me. And instead
you both were with my best friend?!.”

Ayesha stood in silence, every word striking her like a blow. Ameena clenched her fists, barely holding back her anger. "This girl-" she muttered, but Ayesha quickly stopped her with a small shake of her head.

"Ji Won..." Chawoon tried to calm her, raising his hand gently as if to ease her down.

"What?" Ji Won snapped back, her eyes flashing.

But before he could respond, Ayesha stepped back, forcing herself to leave. Ameena followed, her jaw tight with frustration.

On their way out, Ameena muttered bitterly under her breath, "I shouldn't have insisted on coming here."

Chawoon's heart sank as he saw her walking away. He quickly ran after her, calling out, "Wait, Ayesha!"

He continues with a polite tone..."I wanted to say the truth but .....

and ayesha turned back and said, " it's okay... I'm sorry I came here even though you told us to wait..." Her voice faltered, the pain evident in her tone not just because he lied, but more so because she saw him with Ji Won.

She glanced at Ji Won once. Then looked away.

Ayesha left without another word, leaving Chawoon standing there, frozen in regret.

He returned to the room, looking defeated.

"Ji Won," he said quietly, "why did you say that to her?"

Ji Won’s voice trembled.
“I was in the hospital
 and you were with her..shopping!.”
A bitter smile appeared. “What if I see you giving someone else more importance? It hurts.”

“what shopping??! she sprained her ankle,” Chawoon replied, frustration slipping through. “I just took her to the doctor. That’s all.”

"But...i.." Ji Won started to reply, but Chawoon cut her off with a shake of his head.

He left the room, leaving Ji Won alone with tears welling in her eyes. She, too, was hurt....this time by his actions.

At hostel

Ayesha sat alone, her thoughts swirling. A packet of medicine lay untouched on the bed.

Why am I behaving like this? I’m fine

He’s not even my friend.
Then why did it hurt so much to see him hug her?

I know he can’t be mine

she muttered to herself, her heart tangled in quiet conflict.

Ameena noticed the tension in her eyes. “Ayesha, Ji Won has really crossed a line this time,” she said, her voice firm but controlled. “But calm down. And don’t think Chawoon is off the hook either ...I kinda trust him. We’ll listen to what he has to say about why he lied to us though he’d better have a good explanation.”

"No," Ayesha replied, shaking her head. "I think we're not important to him, and that's fine. There must be a reason he lied. And in the end, he and Ji Won will be together anyway..." She rubbed her temple, trying to push the thoughts away. "Ahh, forget it. Let's just focus on our studies."

In the car

Kim Min Kyu glanced at her and asked softly,
“What happened, Ji Won? You called me so suddenly.”

Ji Won covered her mouth, sobbing.
“Oppa
 I don’t know
I really tried my best. I.....” Her words broke apart with her tears.

Min Kyu immediately pulled the car over to the side of the road. He grabbed a bottle of water and handed it to her.
“Here. Drink some. You can share with me what happened?.”

Ji Won looked at him, her voice trembling as she spoke,
“Ayesha
she’s my friend. I trust her, I really do. But today, when I saw her with Chawoon, I just
burst out. She didn’t come even once to see how I was doing. And Chawoon—he saw only that ayesha is Hurt ....What about me?”

Min Kyu’s eyes filled with tears, but he forced himself to stay calm. Without saying much, he started driving again and soon stopped at a quiet place he often visited.

“Ji Won
” he said gently,
“I understand how painful it feels when someone you love doesn’t care about your feelings the way you hoped—when they seem to care more about others.”

Ji Won shook her head, sobbing harder.
“You can’t understand
because you’ve never faced this in real life.”

Min Kyu gave a bittersweet smirk. He stepped out of the car, walked around, and opened her door, gesturing for her to come out

Confused, Ji Won asked,
“Why are we here? Please drop me home. Mom is waiting.”

He gently held her hand and helped her out of the car. Placing his other hand above the door frame, he made sure she didn’t bump her head.

She’s waiting for you with a smile on her face, not tears,” he said softly

As she stepped outside and looked around, the beach was empty, with no one in sight, and the gentle sound of the sea slowly calmed her racing heart.

Just then Kim min myu spoked

“isn't it peaceful here?!.
He closed his eyes for a second

"I usually come here when my heart feels heavy.”

She looked around silently

Kim Min Kyu kept his eyes on the sea and spoke in a polite, calm voice.
“Ji Won
Chawoon hasn’t changed. He’s just bad at explaining things.”

She slowly looked up at him.

“Ayesha and Ameena didn’t know you were in the hospital. They even asked Chawoon why you weren’t coming to college. He wanted to tell them the truth—but I stopped him.”

Ji Won’s eyes widened.
“Huh?!”

“I’m sorry,” Min Kyu said quietly.
“I just wanted to protect you
They really care about you. But you should be careful before coming to any conclusions, okay? I hope you can understand that.”

Ji Won wiped her tears and let out a shaky breath.
“Hmm
 I didn’t know this
 I really did wrong.”

She paused, then admitted honestly,
“I’ll apologize to them. But
I admit, I was a little jealous when I saw them together.I felt like I was being replaced.”

Min Kyu smiled faintly.
“It’s okay. You’re not wrong.” His voice softened.
“It's a misunderstanding...happened because of me
 and I'm sorry for that.”

Ji won patted his shoulder and smiled the tears still in her eyes "it's fine you just wanted to protect me....instead I'm the one who made this whole situation little worst"

His eyes lingered on Ji Won, and for a moment, he remembered the little girl from childhood—the one who cried easily back then too.

Ji Won frowned.
“What’s on my face? Why are you looking at me like that?”

Min Kyu stepped a little closer, making Ji Won startled. He wiped her tears with his sleeve and said softly,
“You’re still a baby
”

She pushed him lightly and said,
“Mr. Driver, please take me home.”

He  smiled
“Okay, ma’am—but first, show me that loud laugh you always hide.”

Before he could finish his sentence, she laughed.
“ma'am?! ....Are you the same Kim Min Kyu I know
?"

Min Kyu thought to himself,
I’m the same
but after the accident, I really want to show who I truly am—how much I care, and how much I love you.

Time skip
At chawoon house
Kim Min Kyu confronted Chawoon.

"What's wrong with you? Ji won was so upset after you left her in the hospital. Do you know how excited she was? Why do you keep hurting Ji Won for her, even though Ayesha isn't your friend?" Kim Min Kyu's voice was sharp.

Chawoon sighed deeply. "Bro, I don't know why, but whenever Ayesha gets hurt, I feel worse than she does. And why does Ji Won always end up hurting her by jumping to conclusions?

Kim Min Kyu's eyes narrowed. "Tell me the truth, Chawoon. Are you in love with Ayesha?"

Chawoon froze, caught off guard. "Wh...what? I...I don't know."

Kim Min Kyu looked at him seriously as he asked. "if you do! ACCEPT IT!."

After a long pause, Chawoon finally admitted, his eyes lowering.

“If you love someone, it means you cry when she cries
your days become brighter just by seeing her smile, and you want to stay by her side for the rest of your life.”

He swallowed and continued quietly,

“So yes
I’m in love with her. She’s the only one who ever made me believe that love is real—
not just a time pass.”

The confession caught Kim Min Kyu off guard for a moment, but then a smirk spread across his face.

"Ahh,! You love her more than I thought...She's a good girl.

Chawoon smiled shyly

Kim Min Kyu placed a hand on Chawoon's shoulder.

"Just be careful, alright? Don't upset either of them... it was all a misunderstanding. Ji Won didn't know, they don't know... I make her understand now she is sorry for that but what you have done is wrong too"

Chawoon nodded

And with Ayesha, you lied because of me. I was the one who told you to, so in a way, it's my mistake
He looked into his eyes. Don't worry, Chawoon. I'll tell her the truth."

"No, I'll take care of it myself," Chawoon replied with determination. He hugged Kim Min Kyu and said, "You're the best brother."

"Love you too, my little charm," Kim Min Kyu replied with a soft smile.

Time skip
In the backyard

He picked up the phone, his voice sharp and controlled. "Has anybody seen him anywhere?"

"no, sir," came the reply. " and we found out his last call location is in the park and Nothing seems to be related to him ."

Frustration flickered across his eyes. "Keep monitoring. I don't care how long it takes-we'll find him."

Without wasting another second, he called Chawoon's bodyguard, the one always looking out for him. "Hello... make sure Chawoon is taken care of everywhere, just like you've been doing. He's going somewhere," he instructed, his tone sharp but steady.

"Where the hell is he hiding?!" he muttered under his breath, clenching his fists. "The police aren't doing anything... I have to find him as soon as possible."

His thoughts grew darker as he pressed deeper into the recesses of his memory, pulling at the threads of that horrific night.

Chawoon stood on the terrace, his phone in his hand, thinking about messaging Ayesha. He wanted to call her, to explain everything—but he stopped.

What I’ve done
this needs to be said face to face.

He slipped his phone back into his pocket. And thought of going to the hostel instead

With a quiet sigh, he turned away from the railing.

Later, at the hostel, Ayesha and Ameena were studying.

"I want ice cream," Ayesha suddenly announced.

"Me too! I was just about to say that," Ameena replied excitedly.

"Let's go to the convenience store. I need a break from all this studying," Ayesha said, stretching.

The two headed out, buying ice cream and chatting as they walked down the quiet road.

Suddenly, a car pulled up in front of them, stopping abruptly.

Ameena gasped. "Ayesha, does he want our ice cream?"

"Maybe, but why would he need ice cream when he has such an expensive car?" Ayesha whispered, confused.

Don't know but..," Ameena replied. "Give him yours, and we'll share mine."she added

Before they could act on their silly plan,

The car door opened, and they screamed, clutching their ice cream tightly and run to him

"It's me! Chawoon!" he said, stepping out, confused by their reaction.

"Chawoon?" Ayesha and Ameena exclaimed in unison, letting out a relieved breath.

"Sorry for scaring you," Chawoon said with a sheepish smile. "What are you two doing here in this dark alley?"

Ayesha avoided his eyes, tightening her grip on the ice-cream packet.

"Well....," Ameena replied. "Just grabbing some ice cream."

"Ah, so you both love ice cream?" he teased and looked at Ayesha as she smiled?

Ameena grinned. "Ayesha's the real ice cream lover here!"

"Ameena, stop!" Ayesha said, embarrassed.

Chawoon smirked and said under his breath "okay I must remember she loves ice cream

"Ayesha, I want to say....I'm sorry...i." He said out loud

But Ayesha cut him off. "Sorry, Chawoon. If you want to talk, let's do it at college. This isn't the time or place."

Just then, Ayesha noticed a man pointing a gun at Chawoon from the shadows.

No!" she screamed, pushing him out of the way as the man fled.

Chawoon fell to the ground.

"Are you okay?" Ayesha asked, handing him her bag for support.

"I'm fine," Chawoon assured her as he stood up with her help

"Who was that?" Ameena asked, wide-eyed.

"I didn't see his face," Chawoon replied, shaken.

"You shouldn't go out alone anymore," Ayesha warned. "That man might try again."

Just then, a man dressed in black ran in the same direction.
To the one who had tried to shoot Chawoon

Who was he?!" Ameena exclaimed, her voice rising. "We need to call the police!"

"Yeahh"!! Chawoon replied
After contacting the authorities, Chawoon immediately called Kim Min Kyu.

"Are you sure you've found the mastermind behind all of this?" Chawoon's voice trembled, a mix of urgency and fear.

"Huh? Why are you asking this? Are you alright?" Kim Min Kyu's concern was evident.

"Y-Yes, I'm fine... but not completely," Chawoon stammered. "A minute ago, someone tried to kill me!"

"What?!" Kim Min Kyu's voice rose in alarm. "I'm coming right now! Send me your location, call the police, and hide somewhere safe!"

"We already called them," Chawoon replied. "The shooter ran away, but... why was he after me?"

"I'll explain everything when I see you," Kim Min Kyu promised firmly.

Minutes later, Kim Min Kyu arrived, his heart pounding. He immediately hugged Chawoon, scanning him for injuries.

"Are you hurt?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.

Chawoon gripped his brother's shoulders, trying to steady his own nerves. "Bro, I'm fine. But tell me who was he?"

Kim Min Kyu's expression darkened. "I found out who's behind all of this," he said, his voice low and grave. "It's the "manager, Yuseok."!!

Chawoon froze in disbelief. "Yuseok? No way! He's been with us for years. Why would he do this?"

Kim Min Kyu's mind swirled as fragments of a painful flashback crept in images of betrayal, secrets, and that fateful night.

"Bro... tell me why!" Chawoon pressed, snapping him out of his thoughts.

Kim Min Kyu exhaled shakily, avoiding his brother's gaze. "...I ...don't kno..w," he muttered, but the weight of the truth pressing heavily on him.

Chawoon eyes narrowed

The air between them grew thick
Kim min kyu was hiding the truth from him and chawoon wants to find the truth
