Chapter 14

At college

Everyone was amused seeing Ayesha so cheerful. Her smile glowed so brightly that even the sunlight seemed to follow her.

Some whispered among themselves, “Is she this happy because she’s finally leaving?”

One jealous girl Hyejin stepped forward, her tone sharp.
“Are you going back? Right?”

Ayesha shook her head lightly, her eyes steady.
“Well, no,” she said with quiet confidence. “I haven’t done anything wrong. And I’ll continue chasing my dream.”

The girl Hyejin clicked her tongue, her smirk fading into frustration.
“Tch
I thought finally you’d be gone.” With a roll of her eyes, she walked away.

Ameena muttered under her breath, “What’s with her being so dramatic?”

Ayesha only laughed softly to herself. She was too happy to let such bitterness disturb her peace.

Just then, another girl approached, hesitant but sincere.
“Then
who did all this, if not you?”

Ayesha paused for a moment. She couldn’t bring herself to mention Min Joon’s name  it might harm his studies and reputation. So, she gave a gentle smile.“Someone who realized their mistake,” she said kindly. “That’s all that matters. I just hope we can all be happy friends again.”

The girl’s eyes softened. “Okay
and also, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have pointed at you like that
 even calling you a terr**ist
”

Ayesha reached out, her hand warm and steady as she held the girl’s. Her voice was light, but carried strength.
“It’s okay. Let’s just forget everything
 and enjoy our youth together.”

The tension dissolved, leaving only the brightness of her smile. In that moment, everyone who watched couldn’t help but see her heart—pure and golden.

After that, Ayesha and Ameena quietly walked together to the prayer room. The noise of the college faded behind them, replaced by a calm stillness.

Inside, the soft light filtered through the windows, wrapping them in peace. Ayesha’s heart was overflowing with joy, and Ameena felt the same warmth beside her.

Both of them bowed their heads in prayer, offering shukrana to Allah—gratitude for everything that had turned in their favor. Their whispers of thanks were gentle, but their hearts beat with relief and hope for the days ahead.

At the hospital

Chawoon walked through the hospital corridor, his thoughts still replaying the events of the day.

Kim Min Kyu spotted him and stepped closer, curiosity flickering in his eyes.
“So
 what happened?” he asked.

Chawoon’s lips curved into a faint smile. “A miracle.”

“A miracle?” Min Kyu tilted his head. “What kind of miracle?”

“Min Joon confessed the truth,” Chawoon said quietly.

Min Kyu blinked, taken aback. “He confessed
 on his own?”

Chawoon nodded. “Yes. No pressure, no tricks. He admitted everything himself.”

"Huh!...strange!?" Kim min loss in thought

For a moment, silence lingered between them
Then Chawoon’s gaze drifted toward Ji Won’s room, his smile fading.
“And
has she opened her eyes yet?”

Min Kyu’s expression softened, a mix of worry and faith.
“Not yet,” he said gently. “But the doctors think
 it could be very soon.”

At the hostel

Ayesha and Ameena were studying together when Ameena suddenly put her book down and stared at Ayesha with a playful smirk.

“So
what were you and Chawoon doing in the principal’s office?” Ameena asked mischievously.

“What? What are you talking about?” Ayesha responded, feigning innocence.

“Oh, come on! Do you think I didn’t notice?” Ameena raised an eyebrow. “I saw you both blushing. Something’s definitely going on. And don’t think I forgot how you were daydreaming about him that day.”

“Stop making things up! It’s nothing like that,” Ayesha said, her cheeks turning pink.

“Really? Do you think I’m a fool?” Ameena teased.

“What’s there to think about?” Ayesha said, trying to act nonchalant.

“Oh, don’t try to escape now! You’re getting too bold these days,” Ameena said with mock seriousness, leaning closer.

At the hospital

Meanwhile, Chawoon was sitting with Kim Min Kyu. Lost in thought, he suddenly started smiling to himself.

Kim Min Kyu noticed and gave him a curious look. “Why are you smiling like that?”

“Huh? Oh, it’s nothing,” Chawoon replied quickly.

“It’s fine if you don’t want to share,” Kim Min Kyu said with a knowing grin.

“No, really, I just remembered something funny,” Chawoon said, trying to brush it off, but his faint blush didn’t go unnoticed by his brother.

The next day

Ayesha and Ameena were overjoyed to finally be heading back to college after so many days. Their laughter filled the morning air as they walked side by side, bags slung over their shoulders.

As they reached the college gates, Ayesha paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. The familiar walls, the buzzing crowd, the sound of footsteps echoing through the courtyard—it all felt like a homecoming.

“Ready?” Ameena nudged her gently.

Ayesha nodded, her heart steady. “More than ever.”

And together, they stepped inside, carrying with them hope, courage, and the promise of a new beginning.

At the same time, in another corner of the city, Chawoon was getting ready for college. As he buttoned his shirt, a small tune escaped his lips—he was humming without even realizing it. His heart felt lighter than it had in weeks.

“Finally
she’ll be in college again,” he whispered to himself, the corners of his mouth lifting into a smile.

The thought alone gave him energy.

At college, the campus buzzed with chatter. Students hurried to classes, some whispering excitedly about the recent news.

A few curious eyes turned toward Chawoon as he entered, but his mind was elsewhere filled with anticipation for the day Ayesha would walk these halls again."

As he entered the college, Chawoon spotted Min Joon talking to Ayesha and greeting her warmly. His eyes narrowed as he watched from a distance.

Ayesha and Ameena walked ahead into their classroom, laughter still lingering between them. Chawoon clenched his fists and strode toward Min Joon.

“Don’t you dare come near Ayesha and Ameena!!” he snapped.

Min Joon looked up, his expression turning angry. “wha...What’s your problem, Chawoon? I was just greeting them . She forgave me, so don’t hold it against me.”

Chawoon said nothing more. With a cold glare, he turned on his heel and walked away, leaving Min Joon staring after him, tension hanging in the air.

In the classroom

Chawoon approached Ayesha with a warm smile. “Hi,” he said, trying to start a conversation. Ayesha smiled back, avoiding eye contact. “Hi
”

“So, will you study after class?” Chawoon asked.

Ayesha thought for a moment and then replied, “Yes, it’s difficult for me to study if I miss another lecture.”

Chawoon smiled, still looking at her. “Don’t worry, I can help you whenever you need.” His eyes never left her.

Ayesha’s heart started beating faster, a feeling she hadn’t experienced before. “Thank you,” she said quickly, turning away from him and walking to her seat.

Chawoon kept watching her until she sat down, his smile still on his face. Ayesha looked at him for a brief moment  before Ameena leaned over and asked, “What were you talking about with him?”

“Nothing,” Ayesha replied, “He was just asking about the lecture after class.”

Ameena gave her a sly smirk. “I understand
” She thought to herself, I know there’s something going on between you two, but I’m going to have to play detective now
 something’s fishy.
( (Kuch tho gadbad hai daya))!!

At hospital

Kim Min Kyu stood by Ji Won’s bedside, watching her lie there so still. His heart clenched—this was all because of him. A single tear slipped down his cheek before he hastily wiped it away.

Just then, his phone rang.

“Boss
Mr Jhon  is back in Korea,” came the voice on the other end.

Min Kyu’s lips curved into a determined line as he wiped his eyes. "Now I can’t wait any longer".

He glanced at ji won she still didn't open her eyes while the person responsible was finally within reach.

"Get them ready, and call the police” he ordered, his voice sharp and unyielding. “We’re going according to plan. No mistakes. Send me the location immediately.”

His eyes burned with fierce resolve. Nothing would stop him now.

Before stepping out, he made sure Ji Won wasn’t left unprotected—assigning a trusted bodyguard to remain by her side. Only then did he allow himself to leave.

After the lecture

Ameena waited for Ayesha, as she was always slow to pack her things. As expected, Ayesha was looking for a book and couldn’t find it.

Meanwhile, a boy, talking with his friend Umer, was walking from the opposite side of  Ameena

And ameena decided to go to the library to study and will wait for ayesha there and later they will pray together

she just took a one step forward
Just then ayesha came while running and accidentally pushed ameena

Ameena  lost her balance and bumped into a boy. Their books fell to the floor, and they both started picking them up.

By mistake, their hands touched the same book, and they made eye contact. Ameena quickly pulled her hand away. The boy gave her the book, and she said, "Thank you." He apologized by saying, "Sorry."  Ameena stood up, and then she took Ayesha’s hand, complaining, “See what you made happen?”

“Sorry, yaar,” Ayesha apologized. “Let’s hurry up now.”

Boy was  staring at her with  open mouth

Umer, looked at him and said, “What happened AHMED ? She’s gone.”

“Nothing,” he replied. “I was just waiting for her to say sorry.”

Umer chuckled. “I’ve heard that even when girls are wrong, they still love hearing sorry.”

Ahmed let out a short laugh, shaking his head. “You’re right,” he said with a smile.

Then they went from there

Outside the canteen,

Chawoon was playing on the open basketball court, moving with effortless skill. As he threw the ball into the basket, a thought crossed his mind " Ayesha
why does my heart flutter just by seeing you?!”

A few girls nearby couldn’t help but stare, whispering among themselves. He looks even more handsome while playing~

Just as he caught the ball again, a familiar voice called out. He turned and saw his friend Ahmed waving at him.

Ahmed strode forward and greeted him with a big hug. “What’s this? Playing basketball to get your mind off things?”

Chawoon was both shocked and happy, returning the hug eagerly.
“Tell me! How are you? When did you come back from Pakistan? And how was the wedding?”

Ahmed laughed. “Wait, hold on. So many questions! I just got here today. That’s why I missed the lecture."

He paused for second and continued
The wedding was great, but there were too many relatives. The best part was seeing my Nani...she’s the best.”

Chawoon smiled

“This is Umer,” ahmed said, “My cousin. He’ll be studying with me.”

“Hi, Umer,” Chawoon added, smiling with a cute dimple.

Umer looked at him and greeted back . Hii!

Ahmed continued “And he’s my friend and also his father was a friend of my father and one more thing he is my neighbor too!”

Umer raised an eyebrow. “So I guess he’s chawoon your friend, right?”

“Yeah, you’re smarter than I thought!” Chawoon said with a grin.

“Wait, was that a compliment or an insult?” umer said while  making a narrow eyes

Both of them burst out laughing.

Chawoon continued, “Let me show you around the college.” He gave them a tour of the campus, showing them the classrooms and common areas.

“Wait, I just remembered something important,” Chawoon said. “You two go to the canteen. I’ll be back in a bit.”

He quickly ran toward the prayer room, where Ayesha was praying. He loved to watch her while she prayed, he found it peaceful ,it was the most important thing for him.

At the prayer room

Ayesha finished her prayers and glanced around the corridor, feeling like someone was watching her. But when she looked, no one was there.

Chawoon hid behind a wall, holding his breath. “I think she didn’t see me,” he muttered to himself. Then, he rushed toward the canteen to join his friends.

At the canteen

Chawoon returned, breathless. “Hi, I’m back!”

Ahmed laughed. “Why are you running all over the place?”

“Nothing,” Chawoon replied. “So, did you like the college?”

“It’s nice,” Umer said,

Ahmed  said frowned  “But not better than my school.”

Chawoon laughed. “I’m sure you’ll love this one. The people here are really nice.”

Chawoon looked at him and added . “But why did you come today? You should have rested, at least today.”

“I thought about it,” Ahmed said. “But the Miss yein told me to come today. She didn’t want me to miss any more lectures since I’ve already missed so many.”

Chawoon laughed. “She  is so serious about studies.”

“Yeah, it seems that way,” Umer added, chuckling.

At golf course

The Mr Jones CEO of the B&B company was playing golf, surrounded by his bodyguards. He was the rival of Kim Min Kyu’s company.

Kim Min Kyu entered the golf area after bribing his way in.

"Hi, Mr. Kim Min. I’ve been waiting for you. Would you like to play golf with me?" Jones said while continuing his game.

"No, i’m here to kill you," Kim Min Kyu replied, as he put his hand on his collar.

Jones smirked. "Woah... Calm down, Kim Min Kyu," he said, raising his hand to signal his bodyguards to hold back.

Jones laughed. "What!? Do you think I’m a fool? Hahaha!" he continued while  taking his hand off his collar.

Kim Min Kyu then pulled out his gun, and Jones' bodyguards quickly drew their weapons, aiming at Kim Min Kyu.

Jones stopped his men. "Wait, guys. He’s just angry. I can handle this."

Kim Min Kyu pressed his gun to his head. "Why have you done all this?" he demanded.

Jones smirked and said, "you are behaving too innocent.....Let me show you something," as he made a video call.

On the screen, a man with a mask and doctor outfit was seen standing behind Ji Won at the hospital. He waved his hand before pulling out a gun and pointing it at her.

"Now you will understand how it feels to see someone close to getting shot infornt of you" He said while eyes in tears

Kim Min Kyu felt a storm inside, but he didn’t show it.
“Don’t you dare touch her!” he shouted, his voice cold and fierce.

Kim Min Kyu’s hands tightened around his phone as he watched the video call. His blood boiled.

On the screen, the bodyguard assigned to watch over Ji Won at the hospital moved with lightning speed. With a swift kick, he sent a gun flying far away. And the video call cut off

Anger surged through Min Kyu. Without thinking, he swung and punched Jones so hard that he fell to the ground.

As Jones’s bodyguard moved to retaliate, Min Kyu’s team appeared from behind, guns raised at their heads.
“Drop your weapons!” they shouted.

Min Kyu’s eyes blazed. “If anything happens to her, you’ll be dead too! And if you want to kill me....kill me! Just me!” He struck Jones again, fury in every movement, while silently praying Ji Won hadn’t been hurt.

He then called that body guard and demanded over the call, “Show me Ji Won!”

Relief washed over him as her face appeared safe and unharmed. “Good
she’s fine,” he muttered, his chest tightening with gratitude.

“Did you catch him?” Min Kyu asked.
“No
he ran away....I'm sorry boss ,” the bodyguard replied.

As Min Kyu turned, he noticed jhon running.

“Jones!! Why are you running?” Kim Min Kyu yelled.

As Jones turned, Min Kyu calmly reloaded his gun, every movement precise, every heartbeat filled with deadly intent.
