Chapter 11

At the hostel

Ji-won sat quietly, her fingers tightening around each other as she looked at Ameena and Ayesha.
She took a shaky breath and finally said,

“I’m sorry for that day...… I insulted you.”

Ayesha’s mind instantly replayed the whole scene  the harsh words, the tension, the way everyone had stared.
But instead of holding onto it, she gave a small, gentle smile.

“It’s alright. We all make mistakes… just don’t conclude things too quickly next time.”

Ji-won nodded,  relieved and continued “Yes… I understand now.”
She hesitated for a second before adding with sincerity,“You’re really a nice girl, Ayesha… Chawoon was right.”

Ameena's curiosity began "What did he say about Ayesha?" she asked, leaning forward.

Ji Won chuckled. "He told me, 'Ayesha is a good girl. She's different from others.'"

Ameena burst out laughing. "Ohhh, Ayesha~! You're so special. I'm lucky to have a friend like you."

"Okay, okay, enough teasing," Ayesha replied with a small smile. "Now say Alhamdulillah for having me."

Ji Won checked her phone and stood up. "Alright, I should leave. But before I go, I need to ask both of you something."

Ayesha nodded. "Go ahead."

"ahh.....Will you be my friends?" Ji Won asked shyly.

Ameena grinned. "Of course! Why not?" They all shook hands, sealing their new friendship.

"We always wanted a Korean friend! This will be fun," Ameena teased, giggling.

Ayesha chuckled. "I'm happy to be your friend, too."

As Ji Won turned to leave, Chawoon suddenly entered the room, his face flushed. "Sorry! Sorry!" he said, catching his breath.

And then he spotted Ji Won ahead. The memory of her sudden proposal last night still lingered, leaving a thin layer of awkwardness in the air.

"Ji ....Won...?" His voice was careful.

Before he could say more, she spoke quickly, almost out of nowhere. "Chawoon... you were right. Ayesha is a really nice girl. We're friends now." and smiled

He blinked, surprised by her sudden declaration, then glanced at Ayesha, who nodded with an easy smile. If Ji Won was smiling like that, he thought, that was enough for him.

A small dimple appeared as he replied, "Alright then.....Let's prove it together......that Min Joon is behind this."

Ji Won's smile froze. "Min Joon? Are you sure?"

"Yes," Chawoon said firmly.

Ameena nodded. "I was there when he confessed."

Ji Won frowned. "Then why haven't you told the principal?"

"We don't have evidence," Ameena explained.

Ji Won thought for a moment. "Hmm... What if you record his confession? You could use a small camera hidden in a button. That would work!"

Chawoon's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea!"

"Yes " Ameena agreed

Ji Won smiled, feeling a little proud.

"But where will we find a camera like that so quickly? There's only one day left," Ayesha pointed out.

Ji Won turned to Chawoon. "Ask Kim Min Kyu. He might be able to help."

Chawoon nodded with a grin. "You're the best, Ji Won. Thanks!"

Ji Won's smile widened, warmth in her eyes as she admired Chawoon's happiness.

Then, he turned to Ayesha, his voice softened. "Don't worry. I'll prove everything" With a playful wink, he walked away.

A soft smile touched Ayesha's lips as her eyes lingered on the path he had just taken. In a quiet breath, she whispered,

"I've never met anyone like him... helping me even when I mean nothing to him. Do people like that still exist...the kind who give without expecting anything in return? Or... is he only doing this out of guilt, because Min Joon was his friend and because of the challenge he accepted?"

And Ji Won's heart ached as she watched him. She had already confessed, hoping one day he might return her feelings. But sometimes, when his gaze lingered on Ayesha, Ji Won couldn't help but wonder ...
why do your eyes look different when they're on her, and not on me?

she chose to stay silent. Their friendship was too precious to risk, and somewhere inside, she still held onto hope.

At Chawoon's House

Chawoon rushed to his brother's room and knocked impatiently. "Hyung! Open the door!"

When he opened it chawoon kept knocking on his head

Kim Min Kyu said while, rubbing his head. "Why are you knocking like you want to break the door down?"

What?!..."Whatever! I need your help," Chawoon said, out of breath.

Kim Min Kyu frowned, suddenly serious. "What happened? Tell me, and I'll deal with them." He rolled up his sleeves dramatically.

Chawoon sighed. "It's Min Joon."

"Min Joon?" Kim Min Kyu growled. "He's dead meat!"

Chawoon grabbed his brother's wrist before he could storm out. "Wait, Hyung! Stop threatening people for once!"

Kim Min Kyu grinned. "Fine. What do you need?"

"I need a small camera to prove Min Joon put the bo*b in Ayesha's bag."

Kim Min Kyu raised an eyebrow. "What....?....What's going on at your college?"

Chawoon quickly explained everything that had happened.

Kim Min Kyu nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, I'll call my manager and see if he can get the camera. But why are you doing this for her ? Shouldn't she be proving her innocence?"

"She needs my help," Chawoon said simply. "And you always taught me to help people who need it."

Kim Min Kyu smiled. "Okayyy! . Take care. I'll call you when I have news."

They shook hands in their usual playful way before Chawoon left.

At the Hostel

Ayesha was praying while Ameena was Preparing for her bath then a door bell rang when ameena opened it chawoon was standing while having a hand in his pocket

Ameena welcomed him inside, handed him a glass of water, and said firmly, "Drink it! Can you wait for a while? I'll be back."

Chawoon only nodded and sat quietly.

His eyes drifted toward Ayesha, who was still deep in prayer. The soft movements, the peaceful atmosphere , the way the light fell gently on her ....it held him captive. He didn't even realize how long he'd been staring. Something inside him stirred, something he couldn't name.

When she raised her hands in supplication, his chest tightened.
"Yaa Allah, please help me. You're the only one who can take me out of this trouble. I just want to study here. You know I didn't do anything wrong."
Her voice trembled, tears slipping down her cheeks as she poured her heart out.

Chawoon felt frozen. He didn't understand what she was doing, or why it moved him so deeply, but watching her like this... it felt like he was seeing something sacred.

When she finished, she wiped her tears quickly, startled to find his gaze fixed on her. "What are you doing here?" she asked with a weak smile.

He cleared his throat. "Agh..well...I
...came to tell you that my brother agreed to help. He'll get the camera."

Ayesha nodded and thanks him

Chawoon's throat tightened. "What... what were you doing just now?"

"I was praying namaz," she replied gently.

"Oh." He blinked, still lost in the image of her tearful eyes. "Why do you... pray?"

"It's how we talk to Allah," Ayesha explained softly.

He nodded slowly, confusion and wonder colliding inside him. "And... why were you crying?"

Ayesha chuckled faintly, brushing her damp lashes. "Because I believe in dua. It's how we ask Allah for what we need. He is the only one who can do miracles."

Chawoon's gaze lingered on her face longer than he meant to, something unfamiliar pressing against his chest. "I see..." he murmured, his voice unsteady. "I... hope He listens to your prayers."

He didn't understand why it mattered to him so much, or why her tears burned inside his heart ....but in that moment, he knew he would never forget the way she looked while praying.

At Kim Min Kyu's Office

Kim Min Kyu called his manager into the office, his tone firm but edged with concern.

“I need you to find out everything about Ayesha… she’s Chawoon’s friend, a student. From the way he speaks about her, it feels like she’s important to him.” He exhaled slowly, eyes narrowing.

He paused, then added firmly, “And make arrangements for a hidden camera.. "!

His bodyguard nodded.

The television played softly in the background, the evening news showing a familiar face.
On screen, B&B's CEO, Mr. Jhon, sat confidently in front of the cameras.

"Our company is doing great," he said with a smug smile. "We're bringing out new and exciting products, all thanks to our hardworking employees across every department."

He laughed lightly, almost mockingly, as the reporters scribbled down his words.

Kim Min-kyu leaned back in his leather chair, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"Jerk," he muttered under his breath. "Not your employees... mine. And the one who handed you that advantage...." his eyes darkened, ".....won't be breathing much longer."

Just then, his manager entered the office with a file in hand.

Sir, I've got news... the tractors are from our R&D. But the source isn't confirmed yet."

He leaned back in his chair, eyes cold. "Then confirm it. I don't care how. I want the name on my desk...fast."

manager Yuseok nodded and added "also Mr. Jhon is traveling abroad for an important meeting. It's the same deal we've been invited to. That company is going to choose between us and B&B... this is our best chance to crush him."

A dangerous glint flickered in Min-kyu's eyes as he slowly nodded.
"It will be ours," he said firmly. "Jhon will finally understand what happens when you walk into a game without knowing who the real player is."

Later that day, Ji Won stepped into Kim Min Kyu's office, tears spilling before she could even speak.

"Oppa!.... chawoon rejected me,!  she cried, her voice breaking.

Kim Min Kyu shot up from his chair, stunned and a little happy "Chawoon... rejected your proposal?!"

Ji Won nodded, sobbing harder.

"Sit down," he urged gently, pressing a handkerchief into her trembling hands. His brows furrowed. "But I was sure he loved you."

"No... he doesn't," Ji Won whispered, shaking her head.

Kim Min Kyu leaned back slowly, studying her tear-streaked face with concern. After a moment, he said firmly, "Alright, I'll talk to him."

But Ji Won quickly interrupted, shaking her head again. "No, Oppa. Please, don't say anything to him. I don't want to force him. Maybe... maybe he's just not meant for me."

Kim Min Kyu frowned at her words, but he respected her wish and nodded.

Ji Won hesitated, her voice trembling. "I don't even know how to make our friendship like it was before. Every time I see him... I just keep thinking about that night."

Min Kyu's gaze softened as he offered her a reassuring smile. "Ji Won, listen to me. Chawoon doesn't want to lose you. You mean too much to him. Even if he doesn't return your feelings... you can still be his best friend."

Her face softened as she returned his smile with teary eyes. "You're right... I'll try. I don't want to lose him either, or ruin what we already have."

Ji Won dabbed her cheeks with the handkerchief, her sobs slowly easing. A small laugh slipped out between shaky breaths.
"Oppa... you always have so many handkerchiefs. Do you keep them just for me?"

Min Kyu's lips curved into a faint smile, his voice steady but warm. "My mom always said a man should carry handkerchiefs. I guess I took her words to heart. Over the years, I've collected plenty of them."

He leaned back, watching her with gentle eyes. "So don't worry, Ji Won. Whenever you feel like crying... there'll always be one ready for you."

Something shifted in Ji Won's chest at those words.... She rose quickly, trying to mask it with a polite smile, and bowed slightly.

"Thank you, Oppa. And I'm sorry for disturbing you during work hours."

Min Kyu shook his head, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "It's fine. I wasn't busy anyway. Actually, I was just about to leave."

"Leave?" Ji Won blinked in surprise.

"Yes," he said with a short sigh. "Tomorrow, I have a flight to Canada for a business meeting." He hesitated for a beat, then added, "So before I go... would you mind having dinner with me tonight?"

Ji Won's tears faded into a soft laugh, her expression brightening. "Of course, Oppa. I'd be more than happy."

At Chawoon's House

When he came in his room while reapiting I can do it ! I can do it !...

After a deep sigh he searched online for how to pray ...so he saw where is qibla after searching its meaning he starts making dua as he was very nervous at the start but he tried his first dua.

"Allah, I don't know if you are listening or there...but...I'm Chawoon. I know You know me. I'm here to pray for Ayesha. She believes in You so much. Please help her. Please give her what she wants." His eyes filled with tears as he spoke he didn't even notice and continued praying

Outside the Restaurant

Ji Won and Kim Min Kyu were leaving the restaurant after dinner and about to sit in his car.
when a loud gunshot rang out.

Ji Won gasped, clutching her side as blood began to spread.
