Chapter 7

Time  skip

people now going back to their home after taking a hectic lecture ..

Ji won and chawoon was walking together , and Ji Won's cravings had reached their peak.

She turned to her best friend Chawoon and said, “Chawoon, let’s go to my favorite restaurant. I’m dying to eat my favorite food!”

Chawoon smirked. “You never miss a chance to go there, do you? How do you even survive trips without it?”

“Don’t ask,” Ji Won replied, her face clouding with frustration. “There’s no food like this anywhere else. I honestly don’t know how I made it through those trips.”

Chawoon chuckled at her dramatic tone. “Alright, alright. Let’s go!”

The two hopped into Chawoon’s car and started driving toward the restaurant.

On their way, Chawoon noticed Ayesha and Ameena walking down the road with their bags, heading toward their hostel. Without hesitation, he stopped his car  and called out to them.

“Hey, Ayesha! Ameena!

Can I drop you both ? We’re heading that way only .”

Ayesha glanced at Ji Won, who was sitting in the car, and quickly shook her head. “No, thank you,” she said politely.

Ameena, however, looked confused. “Why not?” she asked Ayesha, her voice tinged with hope.

“Shush!” Ayesha whispered, cutting her off before she could say anything more. Turning back to Chawoon, she smiled softly. “Sorry, we’re fine walking. You both enjoy !”

“Okay, no problem. Take care,” Chawoon replied cheerfully, watching as Ayesha grabbed Ameena’s hand and walked away.

Once they were out of earshot, Ameena couldn’t hold back her disappointment.

“What was that about, Ayesha? He was just trying to help!”

Ayesha let out a sigh.“We shouldn’t just sit with someone we don’t know well. And especially if he’s male… we should be more careful about things like this.”

Ameena nodded slowly. “Hmm…”

Ayesha added, “And… didn’t you notice? His best friend Ji Won was already sitting in the car.”

“So?” Ameena still looked confused.

“So, we didn’t want to become a third wheel,” Ayesha said, her tone calm and matter-of-fact.

Ameena nodded still processing

Back in the car, Ji Won rolled her eyes. “Can we go now?”

Chawoon chuckled as he started the engine. “Alright, alright. I can see how hungry you are.” His laughter filled the car as they drove off toward Ji Won’s beloved restaurant.

At restaurant

After placing their order, Ji Won leaned forward, curiosity flickering in her eyes. “So, what happened on That day ?” she asked.

Chawoon glanced at her, confused. “What?”

“why did you fight with Min Joon?” Ji Won pressed.

Chawoon’s face darkened instantly. “Please don’t mention his name in front of me,” he said coldly. “He’s not my friend anymore.”

Ji Won frowned. “But he used to be your good friend.”

“He was, but not anymore,” Chawoon said, smirking bitterly. “After you hear what he did, you’ll hate him too.”

Ji Won tilted her head, intrigued. “What happened?”

“He gave me a challenge… to propose to Ayesha.”

“What?!” Ji Won’s eyes widened, and for a moment, she looked as if her soul had left her body.

Seeing her reaction, Chawoon began explaining everything that had happened  over the past three or four days. He described Min Joon’s challenge, the resulting drama, and how things escalated.

When he was done, Ji Won stared at him in disbelief. “Really? All of this happened, and you didn’t tell me?”

“I didn’t want to ruin your trip,” Chawoon replied simply.

Ji Won shook her head, still processing the story. “I can’t believe Min Joon would slap someone,” she said, her mouth hanging open.

“Let’s not talk about him anymore,” Chawoon said, waving his hand dismissively. “I don’t want to spoil my mood.”

Ji won nodded and thought for a moment before asking, “Hmm… So, how’s your mom doing?”

“She’s great, as always,” Chawoon replied, his expression softening.

“Nice,” Ji Won said with a chuckle. Then, with a playful smile, she added, “By the way, I’ll come over this evening, so be ready with your books. I need to catch up on my studies which are lost because of the trip.”

“Anytime,” Chawoon said with a wink. “You know that’s your house too.”

Ji Won laughed, shaking her head at his playful tone. They settled into their seats, waiting for their food, the tension from the earlier conversation melting away.

At min joon house

Min Joon sat in his dimly lit room, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he examined his tools and his plan. “I’m ready with my plan and equipment. Ayesha, just wait and see how I take my revenge on you!” His laughter echoed through the room

That Evening

Ji Won knocked on the door of Chawoon’s house, her face lighting up with excitement.

“Hi, Aunty!” Ji Won greeted warmly.

Chawoon’s mom was busy in the kitchen, as she turned around, startled. “Ji Won! You surprised me! When did you come back from your trip?”

“Last night,” Ji Won replied with a smile.

“How was the trip?”

“It was good! But next time, your family and my family should go together. That would be so much more fun,” Ji Won said, her happiness shining through.

Chawoon, entering the kitchen, teased her “So, are you here to study or just to chat with Mom?”

Ji Won and his mom burst into laughter. “Okay, I’ll talk to you later,” Ji Won said, giving Chawoon’s mom a quick kiss on the cheek before heading upstairs.

In Chawoon’s Room

The two friends settled in Chawoon’s room, books spread out , as they began to study. The quiet focus of their work filled the room

Time skip...

Ji Won stood at the door, ready to leave. “Bye, Aunty, I have to go now,” she said, waving cheerfully.

Chawoon’s mom looked at her with concern. “But first, eat dinner and then go,” she insisted.

“No, I’ll be late. I promise I’ll have dinner here tomorrow,” Ji Won said, trying to convince her.

Chawoon’s mom sighed but smiled warmly. “Okay, but remember your promise.” She pulled Ji Won into a soft, motherly hug.

Ji won, gave her a tight hug back

after some time Ji Won stepped back, about to leave

then the door opened, and Kim Min Kyu walked in.

“Hi, oppa!” Ji Won greeted him with a bright smile.

Min Kyu barely acknowledged her with a nod and walked straight to his room.

“What’s wrong with him? He could at least say hi,” Ji Won thought to herself, feeling slightly annoyed.

“Bye, Ji Won. Take care,” Chawoon’s mom called out.

"Bye"ji won waved at her and closed the door

On the Way Out

“So, let’s go,” Ji Won said to Chawoon as he prepared to drop her off.

Chawoon gave her a playful look. “I just don’t get it are you my best friend or my mom’s?”

Ji Won burst into laughter. “You’re jealous, aren’t you?” she teased.

“Jealous? No way!” Chawoon quickly defended himself, trying to look indifferent.

Ji Won chuckled, knowing she had hit a nerve.

Next day

Ameena was absent from college because she had a headache.

When Ayesha entered the classroom, her gaze immediately fell on Min Joon, who was sitting in the corner. She hesitated for a moment, closed her eyes, and whispered to herself, “Allah is with you. Don’t fear anyone.” Then, with quiet determination, she walked to her seat and sat down.

A few minutes later, Chawoon entered the classroom and took his seat next to Ji Won.

After the lecture, Ayesha stepped outside the classroom to pray. She left her bag on her desk, trusting no one would touch it. Meanwhile, Chawoon and Ji Won decided to visit the library.

Back in the classroom, Min Joon noticed it was empty. A sinister smirk appeared on his face as he glanced around. This was the moment he had been waiting for.

He approached Ayesha’s bag and placed something inside. He paused for a moment, looking directly at the non-functional security camera in the corner of the class. Confident that no one would find out, he left the classroom quietly.

Time skip

Soon after, the students returned to the classroom as the next lecture was about to begin. Ayesha was sitting alone when Chawoon approached her.

“Where’s Ameena?” he asked casually.

“She has a headache,” Ayesha replied softly.

“Oh, I see,” Chawoon said, nodding.

Just then, Ji Won called out to Chawoon from the other side of the class. “Come here! I want to show you something!”

“Take care, Ayesha,” Chawoon said before leaving her alone.

Ayesha sat quietly, but something felt off. She glanced at her desk and noticed her bag was open. Frowning, she reached inside and pulled out a strange object. Her heart stopped. It was a bo*b.

Before she could process what was happening, a girl nearby screamed, “Bo*b! There’s a bo*b in Ayesha’s hand!”

Ayesha froze in shock. The scream triggered panic in the classroom. Students started running in all directions, shouting in fear.

The bo*b slipped from Ayesha’s trembling hands and fell to the floor with a dull thud.

She stood there, paralyzed, unable to move, as chaos erupted around her.
