Chapter 6

After the doctor left, Chawoon brought the medicines and stood near the room door, his face heavy with concern. He glanced at Ameena, his voice soft yet full of worry.
“Ameena… please take care of her,” he said as he handed her the packet of medicines.

Ameena nodded, her tone firm as she grabbed it. “Yes, I will.”

She hesitated for a moment before adding, "By the way, thank you for the help."

Chawoon smiled faintly, his dimples showing as he replied, "No need to thank me. What I've done was my duty as a human."

"So, what was the doctor's fee?" Ameena asked curiously.

Chawoon shook his head. "Don't take tension. I will pay."

"No, please..." Ameena tried to press him, but Chawoon didn't listen. He was already heading toward the door.

He turned briefly before stepping outside. "Okay, I'm going. Take care of Ayesha, and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me."

Ameena paused, realizing he wouldn't take money. She offered a grateful smile. "Thank you! You've really helped me a lot."

"Don't mention it. Bye," Chawoon said, pulling the door halfway closed.

Suddenly, he stopped as if remembering something important.

He opened the door fully and stepped back inside.
"Wait! I forgot. I was here to give her this," he said, holding out an envelope.

"What is this?" Ameena asked, confused.

"A letter! ...Please, Ameena, give it to Ayesha... please!" Chawoon's voice softened, his eyes pleading like a child.

Ameena laughed gently. "Okay, I will give it to her."

"Bye," Chawoon said with a relieved smile.

Bye," Ameena said softly, closing the door behind him.

She stood still for a moment, then murmured to herself,
"Maybe... he isn't as bad as we thought."

At Min Joon's house

the sharp sound of a knock echoed through the air. Min Joon opened the door, his expression tense, only to find Kim Min Kyu standing there.

"Hi, Kim Min Kyu," Min Joon greeted, his voice wary.

"Hi. I want to talk to you," Min Kyu replied, his expression deadly serious.

"Okay... come in," Min Joon stammered, stepping aside.

Inside, Min Kyu wasted no time. "What happened yesterday?" he asked coldly.

"Nothing..." Min Joon replied with a forced, nervous smile.

Min Kyu leaned closer, his gaze unrelenting. "But I know very well... Listen, you are Chawoon's friend, so I'll give you one chance. Otherwise, I really don't give chances to others. Don't dare to touch Chawoon again. He is my little brother, and you know how much I love him. I can do anything for my family... Understand?"

Min Joon swallowed hard, his voice trembling. "I... I und... understand."

Satisfied, Min Kyu adjusted his black coat, put on his sunglasses, and left without another word.

As the door closed, Min Joon's frustration erupted. He swept everything off the table, his voice filled with anger.

"This all happened because of you, Ayesha! I will not let you go so easily. Just wait and see what I can do."

At hostel

Ayesha was beginning to feel better. Ameena approached her, holding the envelope that Chawoon had left behind.

"What is this?" Ayesha asked, puzzled.

"Just read it," Ameena replied, her excitement barely contained.

Ayesha opened the envelope and began reading.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Hi Ayesha,
I know you don't want to see me. That's why I'm writing this letter.

I didn't know that Min Joon would say those things to you. He's really mad.

I'm really sorry for everything.
I know you came here to study, but because of me and my friends, you had faced all this.

I never wanted to hurt you. Please forgive me.
I promise I won't make this mistake again.

One last thing...
you should smile. It suits you more than tears.
I'm sorry once again.

Kim Chawoon.~
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Ayesha looked up, her expression unreadable. "Where did you get this?"

"He came yesterday and said he wanted to apologize," Ameena explained. "But since you weren't feeling well, he left this letter instead."

Ameena smiled knowingly. "I think he's really sorry. Look how heartfelt this letter is. And don't forget, he's the one who saved you from his friend."

Ayesha hesitated. "Maybe you're right. But I don't trust anyone now."

"Yaar, please forgive him!" Ameena said, leaning closer with a playful pout. "Pretty please?"

Ayesha sighed, finally giving in. "Okay, okay....."

Ameena smiled and continued "Now smile! See, he even wrote that your smile suits you better than tears."

The two of them burst into laughter, the tension dissolving between them. In her heart, Ameena silently prayed, Always stay happy, Ayesha.

At JNM

Kim Min Kyu had just entered the building. His arrival always sent a wave of unease through the office. Known for his strict demeanor and no-nonsense attitude, he demanded perfection in everything. Mistakes were not tolerated under his watch.

"Have you given that file to him?" Min Kyu asked his manager Yuseok in his usual commanding tone.

"Yes, sir," the Yuseok replied, his voice steady despite the pressure.

Min Kyu nodded curtly. "Good. Today's meeting is at 4:00. I want everything to be flawless. That contract is non-negotiable. I want it at any cost."

"Yes, sir," the manager assured him.
"We will secure that contract."

The next day, at Chawoon's house

Chawoon was lounging on the couch, watching television. However, his mind wasn't on the screen. His thoughts were consumed by Ayesha.

Did she get the letter? he wondered, his chest tightening. Will she read it? Will she accept my apology?

As his thoughts spiraled, the sudden ringing of his phone startled him back to reality. He quickly turned off the TV and picked up his phone, noticing Min Joon's name flashing on the screen.

For a moment, he hesitated. Then, with a sharp intake of breath, he decided to answer.

"Why are you calling me?" He demanded that his tone was sharp and full of resentment.

Before Min Joon could respond, Chawoon cut him off, his voice rising. "I don't want to talk to you!"

Without waiting for a reply, he ended the call and immediately blocked the number. He tossed the phone aside and exhaled deeply, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Hah! Why was he even calling me?" he muttered under his breath. His anger simmered as his thoughts shifted again. He's the reason for all of this. The reason I felt so guilty in front of Ayesha...

The silence in the room felt heavier now, as if echoing his unresolved feelings and the weight of his mistakes

It's the day to go college again

At chawoon house

Chawoon stood in front of his mirror, adjusting his outfit. He wore his favorite shirt, paired it with a sleek watch, and wore a perfume with a bright smile. He was excited, though a bit nervous.

This was his outfit

After breakfast, he hugged his mother and brother.
"Bye, Mom. Take care!"

"Bye!" his mother replied, her smile full of warmth.

At college

Chawoon spotted Ji Won, his best friend since childhood. Her face lit up when she saw him.

"Hiii, Chawoon!" Ji Won greeted.

"Hi! How was your trip?"

"Hmmm, it was good but boring without you," Ji Won teased.

Chawoon laughed . "Nothing exciting happened here either. I really missed you."

Ji won lokked here and there and asked "where is min Joon"??

Chawoon rolled his eyes and replied
"I don't know"!

Ji won nodded and said "Okay let's go inside"

As they walked into campus, Chawoon's gaze fell on Ayesha and Ameena was sitting together. He parted with ji won and walked towards them

He hesitated for a moment, unsure if she was still upset with him or had already forgiven him.

Clutching his bag a little tighter, he took a hopeful breath and greeted them warmly.

"Hi, Ayesha. Hi, Ameena," he said, his voice gentle but laced with quiet hope.

Ayesha was a little startled

His eyes settled on Ayesha steady and searching as he spoke softly,
"Ayesha... how are you now? I was really worried. Because of me... you ended up with a fever...."

A small smile touched her lips as she replied,
"I'm fine. Ameena told me you really helped with the doctor... so, thank youu."

He glanced at Ameena, who simply shrugged as if it was no big deal.

Chawoon let out a quiet chuckle. "It's nothing..." he murmured.
But then, his voice grew softer almost lost as he looked back at Ayesha.
"Ayesha... did you read my letter?"

Ameen replied quickly "yes"~

Ayesha nodded her head with a soft smile

Chawoon was so happy he felt like he was on clouds...

"Thank you so much " He replied with a warm voice and excitement

While they were talking
Ji Won noticed and frowned slightly. "Who are they?" she whispered to a nearby girl.

"You don't know? Chawoon fought with Min Joon because of that girl," the girl whispered back. "I think he likes her. Look how he's talking to her!"

Ji Won's heart sank. As he never gives importance to other girls..

While she was staring them chawoon came back with a bright smile and sit next to her

Ji won asked him with a curiosity "who they are"??

Chawoon chuckled and replied with a firm tone " She is ayesha and she is ameena " he points toward there direction and continues , "They both are from India and best friends like us"!

He then looked at them , a smile appeared on his face and he spoke." I have never met , such nice people before "!

Ji won was burning inside because of jealousy but she tried to smile and replied.."ohh I see"!

After lecture

Ji-won saw the ayesha walking alone in the hallway. Taking a deep breath, she walked up to her.

"Hi, Ayesha, right?" Ji-won said, forcing a smile and holding out her hand. "I'm Ji-won."

Ayesha turned to her and smiled politely, shaking her hand
"Hi, Ji-won. Nice to meet you," she said.

Ji-won hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I'm Chawoon's best friend. Maybe more than that," she added quickly....
"I just wanted to ask you to stay away from him. I hope you understand."Her voice was calm, but there was a clear warning in her tone

Ayesha didn't seem surprised. Her smile didn't fade, and she nodded slightly. "Oh, I get what you're saying," she replied. Her voice was steady, with no sign of offense. "But don't worry. I'm here to study, not to find a boyfriend."

Before Ji-won could say anything else, Ayesha turned and started walking away. "Bye. Have a nice day," she said, not waiting for a response.

Ji-won stood frozen in place, unsure what to feel. Embarrassed? Angry? Confused? She bit her lip as Ayesha disappeared ..
